The ladybird's wing cases are constructed from pieces of dividedsphere to make it look like a little walking pellet.
The main complication in the ladybird was that the knees kept sticking up above the wing cases. While I never produced a foolproof method of stopping it from doing this I added some useful error checking code to the bugleg macros while experimenting with getting the legs to stay underneath the wing cases.
